Genetically Engineered Bacon
Amish Farmer Market
Today we went to the Amish Farmer Market in Princeton, NJ. The market is actually in Kingston Township, but Princeton is better known for Albert Einstein and Princeton University, I do not blame the market to calling themselves to be at Princeton.
We went there to get the usual fare:
- Jalapeno with Buffalo Wings Cheeses
- Turkey Bacon
- Pretzels
We have the tradition of getting pretzels when we go there or the one near Flemingon. Their pretzels are nice, but I bet that the folks in Germany will say that they are not the same. You are right.
We stopped at a outdoor market in Germany when we were on holidays. There was a gentleman that had a bakery stand at the outdoor market; we got a couple of them to eat them on the road on our way to Salzburg, Austria. They were good, hence my wife scolded at me that we should have purchased more than two.
I guess next time :)
The Island of Doctor Gmo
Well, it seems that the Mighty Government of the Supreme Territory of the Insular Dumbfrakingstan, have not learn their lesson. You see, I read this morning that there was a more 2,000 GM fields with all sorts of experiments. I would have thought that the Mighty Government of the STID leart their lesson after the Agent Orange tests back in the '60.
But no...
Oh well, next time I go there, I probably will be eating plantains with rat DNA or something nasty. I just hope that they are tasty. The sad part is that it's probably being done at my Alma Mater.
Tor, The Mighty Router
I got intrigued by Tor when I saw a post about it. So, I got it going at home. I decided to have a central daemon for all desktop systems. In that way it's always present freeing me the worry of having to start it up or consuming resources.
Laptops should be self contained. I am installing the daemon locally in each of them.
I decided to have all Firefox browsers that are installed to be attached to Tor while any other browsers are not attached to it. In this way I know which one is the anonymous browser in any of my system.
I highly recommend the use of FoxyProxy. This is because when I used the preferences dialog to configure Tor, I had problems getting IPV6 traffic to flow. When I used FoxyProxy, I had no problems.
