I read in the news that Nelson Mandela passed away yesterday at the age of 95. Many great thinkers, leaders and others have spoken about this great man and his deeds. I am not sure if I can add anything more to what has been said.
In a way I feel lucky to witness what this great person did and the reasons that he will be remembered as one of the great leaders of the 20th century.
There are still many unjust systems in the 21st century that similar to Apartheid throughout the world; being these through an unjust political system, retrograde ideologies or continued social inequalities. These needs to be denounced and fought on with the same tenacity as Mr. Mandela did against Apartheid. It is up to us, the next generations, to follow his lead.
May he rest in peace.
